As usual you can ignore all the cretins giving this high scores. Firstly what is good about it. 1) The cinematography is nicely done. 2) Period costumes are nicely done Secondly What is Terrible. 1) Ewan McGregor's character is pretentious and superficial with a fake accent that is an affront to the ears. 2) The plot lacks any realism or threat. It's a rather cartoonish version of the book which doesn't reflect period Russia. 3) Diversity hires are as out of place as driving a Bugatti Vernon down the historical Russian streets next to cart and horses. 4) A young girl poorly dribbles out a script of an adult far beyond her years. Aka a smug smart ass. 5) The main actress spouts out a ludicrous out of period girl boss script. So there you have it. Be warned before you waste time. Currently showing on Paramount+. Now I understand why S&P Global has officially downgraded Paramount Global debt to junk.
