How in the hell did this show ever get a green light. Not only does it take the least likable character from another show that should get the axe, somehow they had the nerve to revolve the weak premised show around her. I don't care if you put Derek Luke in a gray beard, he does not come off as a tenured administrator. He looks like a 40 year old man doing an Uncle Ben impression. I didn't look it up be he and the baseball coach are probably closer in age than production wants you to believe and say what you want about black not cracking, black people just typically age gracefully and although men lose their hair, most black men don't grey early. Greg Berlanti quest to make TV a gay landscape is also front and center. Let me be clear, I love everyone and if you ain't breaking the law, I have no issue with you, but this over the top Trans character is a complete distraction. Was Magic Johnsons son not available, because this is just as jolting. At least Lavern Cox the character, don't put some dude with a full beard in a dress and bad wig and parade him around like he's putting bananas in everybody's tailpipes. This was the worst pilot I have seen in some time and leave it to the CW to lower a bar so far that you can trip and still clear it. I only watched this because I didn't have any idea what it was about and clearly quickly regretted it. Greg should have focused on bring God Friended Me to the CW it would have been much better programming.
