Billy The Kid S01E06 720p WEB-DL x265
Well... this is speculation heavy isn't it? His childhood is something that we can only really guess at. His father we aren't sure of. His mother's second husband we aren't sure of... and this sort of elaborates heavily on pure speculation to the point of rewriting what we already know. He was Irish, by linage, so they had that right. It's not really gritty and realistic, everything is far too clean for that. It's washed, scrubbed clean, and so romantic that you'd think Julie Quinn wrote it. But... it is apolitical. The politics are mostly era appropriate. Billy is not a Black Lesbian Woman. He's not transgender. He's not a communist. He's not a socialist soap box, and he doesn't walk around shouting how evil straight white people are... ... So, it's still better than most shows on television today. Far better, just for the lack of politics alone. It doesn't lecture. And for that I'll give it 10 Stars, just because it tries to tell a story rather than push politics. But it is slow, and too Romantic for a tragedy. In any other era it wouldn't rate a 10 out of 10 and I'd be watching something else. But this is 2022, and Billy the Kid just wants to tell a story, so that alone really makes it stand out and apart form the rest... And I appreciate that, I really do. I'm going to watch it for that reason alone.
