This has all my favorite actors and the premise is great! But somehow it just is not working and I'm so sad. I think it comes down to the writing... it needs to go further and darker... right now it's just not hitting deep enough so it comes off as ABC Family trying to be edgy by using words like 'effin' and 'cooter'... I just wish they would take it all the way, really sell the stereotypes and make light of things like meth addiction and welfare fraud, you know... southern charm. It feels like the network censors just took all the teeth out of this dog's bite and we were left with a lukewarm family comedy that the whole family can sleep through. Family Guy manages to take it further as does Bob's Burgers while still hitting network airwaves, why can't this show hit the mark?! Such a shame, all my favorite character actresses in one place... Kristen, Maya, Fortune, Jillian... here's hoping another collaboration will bring y'all together again!
