The low reviews being posted are confusing at best. The show deserves more than a couple of stars that some people are "awarding" it. Patricia Heaton has been around for a quite some time so I highly doubt she would sign onto something that is mediocre or simple. The first episode "Pilot" blends together an ethnic cast and yes, while there are age jokes, class jokes and ethnic jokes it is done in a way that offends no one but that everyone can relate to. In a perfect world, age would not be an issue but I'm glad that this sitcom is tackling it because some people do start over their careers in their 50's and even their 60's. The one thing that I could do without is the Ashley Tisdale character of Carol's daughter. It seemed forced and thrown in to show that Carol has a family and a life outside of the hospital. One needs to give this show a chance instead of throwing one or two stars on the pilot episode and calling it terrible. Like everything else a show needs to grow with it's audience and in time I think this show will. I also find it incredible that the lousy reviews are getting more Yes responses to the helpfulness of their comments more than the more positive reviews.
