I understand only the first episode has aired so far but I just can't get into it yet. I know this is a television series and not a blockbuster movie like the 3 previous Langdon adaptions, but the production quality and acting just seems too jarring, it takes me out of the show. Langdon doesn't come across as likeable, he has the surface level aspects of the Robert Langdon character but his arrogance doesn't make me care for him as a hero. The villain is intriguing and that is a good thing, he was definitely the most interesting part of the book. The mystery regarding his character was much more drawn out and subtle in the book, and from the info they've already given us in the first episode it doesn't seem like they're doing that here. I'll definitely watch the next episode and I really hope that the writing and quality improves.
