Pretty good watch, but the movie had some flaws. It's claimed only 18 Australian soldiers died and 245 Vietnamese soldiers were killed when on screen, it's clear more are depicted to have died. I didn't count, but the number of dead Aussies didn't add up, but I don't care to go back and check. Also, I'm an American that only spent a month in Australia on vacation, but hearing one character say he was from "Coolum in New South Wales hunting rabbits in his backyard" was HILARIOUS! I actually spent some time in Coolum BEACH, and it's in Queensland! I highly doubt that's the kind of place where kids spend their time shooting rabbits as it's a beach town with houses rather up underneath each other! Even if say, this guy grew up back in the fifties, I just don't see that as being a big place for hunting. No mention made of the beach or coast either, which tells me the writer knew absolutely nothing about the place. This would be about as ridiculous as writing that someone from Venice Beach hunted deer by their house, lol. Shameful stuff when a Yank has to point out the writing flaws of an Aussie movie.
