I read "Defending Jacob" several years ago, and it's remained one of my favorite books I've read to date. I had heard rumor of a movie adaptation, but it never happened and I eventually forgot about it. When I saw the trailers for the miniseries, I was so excited someone finally did it. However, it also makes me nervous...I've been seriously let down by movie adaptations before (I'm looking at you, My Sister's Keeper), so I'm watching this with cautious optimism that it will stay true. So far, however, I've enjoyed it. No major complaints about the casting, although I'm not sure I envisioned Chris Evans as Andrew. I've been waiting for this for a long time, so I will definitely keep watching and hope to not be disappointed in the end.
