Ok let me just say that people need to hold giving out stars for now until we have the finale of this season. Where is the old Dexter?? No no let me tell you what I mean by that first. The old Dexter was deeply psychological and every line he said to himself was so deep and meaningful. Where has all that gone? Where is that deep internal dialogue voiceover and interesting complex thought process of Dexter?? Back in the old Dexter it was very interesting to even hear Dexter question things we take for granted like Birthdays etc. Here's one to refresh your memory " I love Halloween, the only time of the year where everyone wears a mask, not just me". And here's a funny one too: "Do I see sheets of plastic in your future??" Oh and the birthdays one goes " I don't get birthdays; the party, the song. Celebrating another year just being alive feels... forced." That was what I'd call an intelligent script! I am yet to see that in New Blood. So far, nothing remarkable about the two episodes I watched and the return of Harrison only to have him meet a girl (and yeah you guessed it she is so magically drown to him) is just so underwhelming in my opinion. Finally, why the hell is Debra still there as the ghost??? I miss the days of Harry!! The man of strict principles!! Not the shouting moaning annoying ghost they brought back after we had to keep up with her for loong episodes during the old Dexter! Last but not least, there is a common pattern in all shows at the moment, particularly popular shows, the pattern is all of them seem to try to pass political correct and woke messages in the script!! The biggest problem here is that they always choose the wrong genre of shows for this!! This is supposed to be a psychological thriller! People watch these to be thrilled and for the unexpected. Not to be bored to death by repetitive woke shenanigans! I am disappointed and will keep updating this as the Dexter saga unfolds... To be continued..
