Doc S01E07 720p WEB-DL x265

I just finished the first 6 episodes, and once you get past the fact that the main character suffers a traumatic brain injury and is asking to return to work the next day, it's actually a great show. I think the reason it works is because Dr. Larson was a closed off b-word before the accident and each episode we get to see through flashbacks the difference in her character. I especially like the relationship between her and her best friend. Overall, the backstory with her family explains how she became the way she was before her accident. The antagonist characters feel more like flawed people who really aren't bad so they aren't one dimensional, which leaves room for growth. I know it's supposed to be a medical drama but it's the relationships and even the patients and their family that make this a compelling series. I'm a nurse and the medical inaccuracies don't bother me as much since the real story is about the character's reactions to the medical mystery. The show does a great job of getting you to care about the characters. I hope it sticks around; it's been a long time since I've liked a medical drama.
