I love the Elsbeth character since The Good Wife and Carrie Preston does an amazing job portraying this unique quirky character but unfortunately the show and the writing of the story lacks the flare that we've seen the Elsbeth character in the past. The character has gone from being a lawyer to essentially being a police detective and misses a lot of what made Elsbeth so wonderful. The story is so predictable that most of the episodes even tell you who did the crime while Elsbeth continues trying to work out who did it. It's like a gender reveal party where everyone has been told the gender except the mother and she's trying to work out the clues when everyone already knows. I really hope the direction of the show changes as the original Elsbeth in law is what made her amazing.
