I have watched the entire British show in the past, and greatly enjoyed it. I thought this would just be a US rehash, and the first couple of episodes looked that way - similar environment, similar characters. I persevered, and it developed differently to the original. Character development of the ghosts is happening differently, and there are even some different characters altogether. I have only seen the first season so far, so I'm hoping that things continue to grow and improve, and diverge from the original British version. Apparently season 4 is happening, so I look forward to getting that far. I'm still trying to adjust to the American accents though!
