This movie fulfilled my high expectations. Early in my life I heard about Golda Meir in the same context of Benazir Bhutto, Margret hatcher and Indira Gandhi. I knew the least about Golda Meir. This movie not only kept my attention, but was very entertaining and artistic. Helen Mirren's portrayal was OUTSTANDING. She nailed the character Look. Mannerisms. Behavior. Believability. The 1970s context was nailed without becoming a characature that mocked the decade. As a side benefit, it drove me to read more about Gold Meir. Her life, accomplishments and place in history is far more than I knew.
