Gordon Ramsay Uncharted S02E06 480p WEBRip x264
So National Geographic made a tv series with one of the remaining globally known celebrity chefs in tv, Gordon Ramsay. Okay, the cinematography is stunning but this is to be expected from professionals like these. Everything else is at best mildly entertaining and a little bit educational. But all in all, the whole production is just a sloppy attempt to make Gordon Ramsay look like the nice guy next door. Sloppy, because the script is always the same. Gordon travels like an adventurer to places no modern man has gone before. Then he gets to know the local people who do things with food even this excellent chef has never heard of before. Afterwards he has to collect ingredients from unusual places. A fact that is stressed over and over again by him saying things like "I have to go up there, really?" followed by his famous f-word. But in the end, he always survives (but barely) and gets a mild "it was okay" for his cooking skills from the local people which he accepts in a humble manner. The producers must have a very low opinion of their viewers. Because you see scenes like Gordon riding his motorbike to a destination in Peru, like he went over from Scotland directly. You see him in life threatening situations and climbing hills or trees like there's no tomorrow. And it is produced like there is no helicopter, no big production team with cameras, sound engineer, light and so on around him, all the time. But you can smell that every scene is staged for Ramsay to look like the lonely adventurer which in reality is brought there in a comfy first class flight. I would rather watch a documentary from the guys from National Geographic without all the fuzz about the great cook who allegedly challenges himself where everybody can see that he's not really doing it. So I like National Geographic and I liked Gordon Ramsay in Kitchen Nightmares UK. But together it's not working for me.
