Yeah I know that there are only three episodes released at the moment I am writing this, but do I think the show will improve over time? No. Do I think that it was pretty unnecessary? Yes. As a fan of the original show, this feels REALLY odd to me. The sit-com structure presented here is just awful starting from the first episode, where events that SHOULD have an impact or just a proper ending are just left in the air and not even used. So far, there was an episode where they brought a pretty well-known character back as a guest star... AND THEY DON'T EVEN USE THEM PROPERLY IN THE PLOT FRO CRYING OUT LOUD! >=( The characters themselves feel very... off. It feels like watching the actors recite their scripts in front of the cameras, not characters that are present in-universe for the plot... I have plenty of things to say about this revival but I am going to wait for the moment it is going to finish airing.
