Carly, Freddy, and Spencer return to the small screen bringing with them laughs, gags, and nostalgia. Let me start by saying I grew up watching the original series and was excited for the reboot. But mere minutes into the new pilot, I experienced cringe worthy dialogue and even acting that felt off and forced. I waited it out though, hoping things would change. They did. ICarly is still a corny, goofball of a show that exists to entertain but comes along with a dose of nostalgia as well. It's fun and idiotic, the characters melt back into their caricatures quite well after some time. New additions Harper and Millicent also mix in well, though personally I feel Harper does as Carly's BFF more so than Millicent does as Freddy's stepdaughter. I have no doubt though that things will develop and smooth out more with time. It's enjoyable, and I hope it is given time to grow!
