Interview with a vampire in name only. As per usual a book adaptation takes the work of someone else to make money off of it while ignoring the original material that made the name famous. I will concede the acting is great but almost every detail about the story and characters has been changed, and for what purpose? It's the most famous vampire book series in history for a reason. I could deal with the time line being so different if they didn't change everything else. Usually you see this in movie adaptations because you are cramming a long book into two hours, they don't have that excuse in a TV show. I realize that people who haven't read the books will probably like this and that it great for them and the show runners but it's pretty insulting to the long time fans of Rice's creation. I had hoped that they would learn their lesson from them travesty that was the queen of the damned.
