It's a ME-taphor. The fact that that is so apparent is disappointing but what is so appalling is the way the dialogue and reactions to the situation, are written. Nobody talks purely in exposition. No one finds a foreign boy in his home, then their son goes missing an asks the police to help without ever trying to find the boy who was in his home earlier pretending to be their son. No kid discovers that they has change race and physicality, and not only don't go into a complete mental breakdown deserving a film in itself, but also they just go to chill in the park. Make it make sense. The metaphor is relatable but the damn, it would've worked better if someone better wrote it. Still gonna watch episode 2 tho.
