NCIS Sydney S01E08 720p WEB-DL x265
This series has some good actors, but the new "overacting" of women's roles really is too much in this series. Being strong doesn't mean being rude and obnoxious to everyone around, along with zero warmth. Another issue is half the team is not allowed to carry a gun, which is ridiculous for an NCIS series. Acting tough without a weapon is laughable. It is already boring 3 episodes in, having Aussies point a gun for them and/or watching them ask for a weapon in a special moment. Why are they even going to places where they can be shot? Just dumb. There is no anxiety about the intense action scenes, since without guns they are sitting ducks, every single investigation. Circling back, as a woman, I truly dislike the complete lack of femininity and any representation of natural men and women interaction. Following a media push of "tough women" doesn't make it reality. Truly, 99% of women think they should be offered a life raft before a man. Can we have some real personalities represented in these shows?! This series flatlines because of lack of feelings, warmth and the awkwardness of not carrying weapons, while still attempting to feign toughness. Olivia Swann's character is one note. Having her step on any possible humor, every single time, is also not real and boring. Sorry this series is poorly conceived, written and characterized. I gave 5 stars simply for some actor fondness, i.e. Todd Lasance and Sean Sagar. Note: This is my first negative review about any show or movie.
- Olivia Swann
