One reviewer said maybe they are the only one who hasn't read the book or seen the film, you are not alone! I'd never heard of it before. I found it compelling, it brought back so much for me from my own past, it was very nostalgic. People have commented on a lack of chemistry, I didn't see it that way at all. I loved Emma's refusal to just pander to Dexter, and I like her humour, I thought they worked really well together. They had more than just ripping each other's clothes off, which is why their relationship endured. I cried, multiple times. I loved this series. If you were born in the seventies or eighties you'll relate to a lot of things. After watching I had a brief look at the original film and I definitely prefer the series. I know it's set in the past but the film looks so dated.
