Surprisingly compelling mystery series, with plenty of heart. Characters were mostly likable, very little padding, story evolves and drops new clues at a rate that keeps you watching. Subject matter is a little grim, but handled in a light-hearted way, the exception being a particular confrontation the last episode of s1 which might hit too close to home for some viewers. The premise is pure fantasy, but does it in a consistent logical way that shouldn't cause the viewer to check-out. Only criticism was the setting, which didn't quite work given the age/maturity of the actors who seemed at least a decade beyond high-school. It could've been more convincing in a late-academia/early-career setting. Music was great, sets, props & lighting all worked; no technical issues besides the loud footsteps in earlier episodes. If there were vfx I didn't notice it (a good thing). Looking forward to season 2.
