How to lose a fan base: all of your beloved, classic characters are now rendered incompetent and made fun of by new characters who are inexplicably better for no reason, and who haven't done anything to earn it. The writing is rough, the editing is choppy, and the humor at best makes you grin, somewhat confused. This is the new marvel, and I'm about ready to be done. Maybe it's not made for me anymore, maybe it's for the next generation. If so, I'm worried about their tastes.. regardless, I just think marvel needs to take some time and cool off, work on their writing and overarching stories, and be more concerned with handling their main characters well.
