You've read some reviews where people refer to the CGI as bad. This is true. You've also heard that the acting is sub par, which is also true. The biggest "oof", as it were, is also in the writing of the show, not just the character interactions, but the characters themselves, and the science. The show goes out of its way to sort of establish a set of rules for the space that the people here inhabit, how life functions, and so forth, then 5 minutes later they break those rules. Science all of a sudden doesn't matter, and it is all about resolving whatever issue it is that they are experiencing while creating even more chaos. These people are also supposed to be highly skilled in the fields that they work in, but 99% of the time they behave like high-schoolers. Their actions makes no sense at all. Nothing in this show is realistic, nothing makes any sense. It is all rush-rush-rush, survive, argue, technical mumbo-jumbo word vomit, and magical skills. I felt thoroughly frustrated throughout the first episode. Vehemently shaking my head whilst shouting at my screen. It isn't worth the trouble, nor the dissatisfaction that you will experience.
