This film hits too close to home. It's a marriage of Nigeria's past and the troubling present young people face. I especially loved the music storytelling, the cultural nuances and all the quiet parts said out loud. The acting is experimental in a way that I could connect with 90% of the characters but the other 10% left me wondering. Could it be that a world exists that is simultaneously similar to mine as it is different from mine? The pacing was great, action sequence already kept me on my toes 20 minutes in. The cinematography, lighting, costume and set design were both historically accurate and dynamically creative. It was a symphony of pictures.
