The Curse S01E05 480p WEBRip x264
Okay.. so only 2 episodes. First episode was slow, but had moments showing possible promise. It was set up for various directions the story COULD take. I forgave how slow it was overall, understanding that character setups and discovery could be imperative for later happenings. Second episode is TWICE as slow and three times less interesting. Much of the story seemed largely irrelevant and filler. Now, I am aware it's 2 episodes in.. so perhaps they are still setting things up. But... I gotta say.. that gatorade was EXCEPTIONALLY telegraphed in episode 2. Just poor, poor, acting (or writing). And the house.. just ludicrous. If nothing moves forward, there's nothing really compelling anyone, well ... me, into watching more. After the first 2 episodes I'm in NO WAY eager to see more. I'm not looking forward to "what may happen" because nothing has been foreshadowed in the slightest. I do "get" the possible "bad luck" Asher may have experienced in episode two... Honestly, those just seemed to be very typical life situations that didn't go in one's favor.... if THAT is meant to be "The Curse" oh boy, how uninteresting this all may flesh out to be. Will Asher miss trash pick up next week and chalk that up to "The Curse"? I'll give it ONE more episode and if it's not moving any faster, or there's no further discovery in episode 3.. I'll be done with it. There are a million things to watch any more. If this series wishes to be worthwhile watching, it needs to prove itself as such, and rapidly at this point. I have better things to do, and watch, than some slow-moving pretentious drivel which appears to be going nowhere. At the very least I can wait until the entire thing has aired and it's all streamable or watchable on demand.. so i can fast forward through these CLEARLY "filler" episodes.
