The Curse S01E09 720p WEB-DL x265
It's astounding how many people giving this show bad reviews seem to know what Fielder and Safdie were intending for this show. All these people assuming they know exactly what this show is supposed to be. It's clearly not made for them either way. I stumbled upon this show randomly form Safdie's Instagram account and just started watching without knowing anything about it at all. And I was instantly hooked. Nathan Fielder is a phenomenal director, and the writing in this show is clearly thought out to a high degree, to the point where it is obvious that this show is going to go to some interesting places. I was so enthralled by The Curse that the really bad rating on here was so unexpected. I think people are oversaturated with short scenes, constant cuts, instant gratifications, and cheap entertainment, that when quality stuff like this gets put out, they just shelve it. The low rating on this IMDb page does not give this show credit. It's amazing. The nuances portrayed are so, so detailed and brilliant. It's made for people who really want to watch something in a different way, and not just be fed a narrative through plot solely. They are other ways of telling stories, and Fielder/Safdie clearly know how. I mean, just go look at their other works and you'll know that there is more depth here than what these other reviewers are seeing. This is the best show I've seen in a long time. Amazing stuff.
