Saw this movie at the HP Lovecraft Film festival in 2020. There are the bones of a good movie here...great locations, good actors, and some trans representation that I really enjoyed. Unfortunately the meat on those bones is a little thin. The story is a cross between Rosemary's Baby and Humanoids from the Deep - young couple joins seaside community, all of the neighbors are suspiciously friendly....and since the title is The Deep One's you know from the first scene what these neighbors are into.
