A sentimental film about human identity and escapism that feels like a mix of the emptiness from "Goth" with the hentai stuff from "Love Exposure". Performances are amazing, didn't expect to become so emotionally attached to these characters. I just don't seem to get tired of these romance films about outcast teens as I get older. This is easily Noboru Iguchi's best film and very different from all his previous stuff. On a side note, the story was so good it made me watch the anime afterwards. It's a much darker version of the story, but sadly only covers the first half of the movie. They are both very different and I love both versions.
