I was worried about the book-to-movie adaptation for one of my favorite books in the world, and found myself smiling throughout the movie like an idiot. But a STRAWBERRY LOVING, ENEMIES TO LOVER OBSESSED, LIPSTICK WEARING IDIOT! I absolutely adored this movie! Is it a perfect adaptation that follows the book word for word, scene for scene? No. Are there scenes that were left out that I wish I could have seen? Yes. But, it is obvious how much love and attention to detail was given to bringing the book to life and giving it justice. It was cute, swoon-worthy, hilarious, and quirky. The casting was amazing! The soundtrack was great! The chemistry was off the charts! I wish I could hug this movie and everyone involved. Sally Thorne's book is so beloved and I am glad that her dream of getting a much deserved book-to-movie adaptation came true. Not only that, but that it was a good one. I will be returning to this movie as a comfort movie for years to come. Words cannot describe how much I loved it. Do yourself a favor and watch it (and read the book if you haven't)!
