The Starling 2021 720p WEB-DL x264
To that person who bitterly gave this movie a one-star review saying all the others are five-day old account shills: my account isn't five days old, btw, so come at me. The movie isn't perfect. I, too, saw the negative reviews thinking, "Great. It's Thunder Force all over again." Thank goodness, it's not. The negative criticisms can't even find a common ground. Some said it's too melodramatic, some said it's not dramatic enough. "Pacing was all over the place. The CGI bird was too distracting. The songs are too emotionally manipulative." Etc, etc. I find that for some of us women who actually relate-- those of us who lost loved ones (doesn't even have to be your child) knows that life had to go on. You have to go to work, you have to pay the bills and do chores. The bird wasn't that distracting for me, personally. I turned off the subtitles in my second viewing so the song lyrics showing on the screen don't ruin the mood or be too on the nose. Simple. There were times when I'm *this* close to full on bawling and then it'll give me chance to recover with a cute scene. I guess in real life when someone is in funerals you'd find others laughing, telling jokes to each other and some are sobbing through the rest of the week. This movie makes sense to a lot of those who can relate, I guess. Oscar bait? Maybe. But you can't deny the performances there by the leads (Melissa McCarthy and Chris O'Dowd) were undoubtedly very moving. If the movie was longer, maybe it'll be able to tell the story a little bit better.
