This review is also to counter the utter troll review that's the only other one up at the moment. For me, this was a fun show that made me laugh out loud a few times. Couldn't wait to see the next one. Most episodes revolve around some subject within the film industry, and one episode is about the dynamics within the team. I see at is a lighter version of Veep, where it's about a major film studio instead of the White House. But, Seth Rogen's character is a bit loose. One moment he's an absolute filmlover and very informed on the art of filmmaking, the next he's bumbling on a set ruining the shot over and over again. One episode he's insecure and kind, another episode he's very confident and an a-hole. Still, overall very enjoyable. .....and then come the final two episodes. Rogen seems to have a need to be known for smoking a lot of weed instead of being the talented writer/director/actor he is. And so it's no longer about filmmaking, it's about drug use. Things get hysterical, shouty, extremely unfunny. The show's resolution in the final minute is, well, basically nothing. One of the worst endings I've ever seen. It must be some sort of set up for a second season, because the current status quo is a mystery and whatever happens at the end is not the win the show intends it to be. It really is worth a watch, especially for filmlovers. It might be satire. But you know these types of conversations and conflicts really do happen. I hope there will be a second season, and that it solidifies Rogen's character a bit more and does not stray from it being about filmmaking.
