I've just watched the first episode and this feels like it has a lot of potential. The original film has far more charm, and as it is a film, feels more punchy whereas this feels padded at times so that they can fill the 4.5 hours plus of the eventual running time.. I didn't feel the parents came over well (too forced) or Penelope (just seemed to be going through the motions), but the rest of the cast were fun, especially the scene with the Trojan Horse. Lots of silly humour and has just enough absurdity to stand on its own (football team selection, Stone Henge's builders amongst two). I'm looking forward to watching the rest.
