I was looking forward for this since I saw the trailer. Now I've seen it, I have to say: it disappoints. The acting is poor, like all characters are based on the stereotypes in every hero-returns-home-to-set-things-straight movie. It all feels boring and lifeless. Like they have to, but don't want to. Except for Jessica Alba, that is. She's trying, but can't carry the whole movie on her own. Nevertheless, she does a fairly good job and probably could do even better with a decent script. The overall story isn't very original, but that shouldn't be a problem. After all, hero returns home is a genre in itself. But then the script and acting must be up to standard... But hey, the fight scenes are great and I really hope to see Jessica Alba in more action flicks!
