I was really looking forward to seeing this show, especially after all the hype these past few months, but now that I've watched it, I have to say I'm slightly disappointed. The storyline is halfway decent, even plausible, but I'm sure I'm not the only one just completely fatigued with the NY clichés: fabulous people with fabulous jobs living fabulous lives in a fabulous city. Ever since Sex and the City we've been bombarded non-stop with these fabulous but shallow characters that no one can really relate to. It just gets so tiresome after a while! I understand that reality is boring and that audiences need to escape the dreariness of their own lives, but surely there's a midway point that features both an engaging storyline as well as relatable characters.
