Let me start off by saying I've been persecuted so many times for my religion and that I understand the stress when it comes to following the rules of my religion. Yes it can be difficult and yes other people in my religion handles it differently. That being said how this movie paints the members of my religion does not reflect every member in my religion. This movie gets it right when showing what our core beliefs are and this movie gets it right showing how some members in my religion practices the faith but I as well as many other does not act the same way and this movie focuses on a family of the religion that couldn't handle the pressure when it comes to breaking a few vows which resulted in violent crimes. The detective in this series is an example of how some members in the faith is judgemental, something unfortunately many in the religion does but is something we are taught not to do. Nevertheless this series does a good job showing those type of people. I felt the acting was amazing and the writing is a good mystery story. This reminds me of some of the great stuff I use to watch long ago. Just keep in mind what is shown in the film does not reflect how the members of Jesus christ of later day saints all are like. I for one sin many times but what is most important is asking for repentance and not letting the pressure of being this perfect lds member image overwhelm me and thus causing me to act violently or do harm on myself just so people won't find out. This series shows a family that was overwhelm and couldn't handle it properly.
