As a longtime fan of westerns, I was a prime candidate for Walker: Independence. It's visually beautiful, from the cinematography, to the costumes, to the cast. You get just enough of a taste of each character in the pilot to make you want to see more of each of their stories, and the chemistry between them all is there right off the bat. The revenge plot is of course well-trod territory, but the mystery behind the motivations for Liam Collins' death present ample opportunity for exploration, especially considering the hints that are dropped in the pilot about certain other characters. It will be interesting to see how the relationships between everyone develop as more is revealed. Dinged a star because I'm a purist and the modern music cues chaffed a little, but otherwise it was a very enjoyable romp and I'm looking forward to the next installment.
