The first episode shows promise, it was entertaining and I would rate it as a 7.5 if I could. It's a nicely executed run of the mill mystery show. The idea is good, we have to see how it will continue to work as a procedural. Having seen it, I'm absolutely certain that people are review bombing this just because the actor playing Watson (traditionally white) is black. This is frankly a childish and ridiculous, foaming-in-the-mouth reaction that makes TV show ratings lose their meaning. The fact that in 2025 "political" (if we can call this politics, I would call it temper tantrums) reviewing is happening, is a bit sad really.
