I am a huge fan of the books by Karin Slaughter and this series does not feel at all like the books. I think the actors cast are all wrong the characters, especially Will Trent. He is described in the books as being very tall with sandy blonde hair but more importantly, I don't feel like the actor portraying him exudes Will Trent's social awkwardness. The other horrible castings are of Amanda and Angie. In the books, Angie is very rough around the edges and tough and Amanda is an older lady who comes across as cold and rarely refers to Will as her best agent. While Will does offer some rare moments of comedic relief in the books with his social awkwardness, the books are very dark and I think this show would be much better on a streaming service or HBO. As much as I love the books and Karin Slaughter, I really doubt I will stick with this series because it feels like a betrayal to the books.
