Finding a police procedural that offers something different from the usual is not easy. The I happened across Will Trent and watched the first couple of episodes and haven't stopped watching every week. I haven't read the books, so know nothing about the character, other than what I have seen in the TV show. I think Ramon Rodriguez plays the part pretty well and does show the social awkwardness the Slaughter character apparently suffered from in the books. That character interaction is good, too. It well shot, too, for a network TV show The storylines are interesting and the GBI is something different from cop shows set in NY or LA. So I recommend this show to anyone looking for something a bit more quirky than the average police procedural.
