I like my movies like I like my wine, i.e. A ten quid bottle of Chardonnay from the supermarket suits me just fine. That's what this rom-com is. Tropey, predictable, doesn't try to be anything fancy. It's just a couple of hours of mildly amusing and perfectly watchable entertainment. Calling it a cheap bottle of Chardonnay sounds like I'm damning it with faint praise, but that's not my intention. When I grab a bottle of wine and shut the world out for a couple of hours to recharge after a long day, this is what I need. And that's why I gave it six stars. It's not great, it's not terrible. It's quite comforting in its middle ground.
